Welcome to the Seeker Formation

You have arrived at a threshold, not a classroom. Nothing here will be done to you. Everything here will be offered to you.

Gail is not speaking.

The Nepantla Institution calls this a Formation on purpose, and not a course. A course gives you information. A Formation builds a capacity — a real, practised ability to do something you couldn’t do as well before. What you take from this experience won’t be a list of facts about difficult life transitions. It will be a stronger ability to recognise one while you’re standing in the middle of it.

This is the Seeker Formation, the first in the series. It builds the basic ability to recognise, understand, move through, and respond well to Nepantla — a Nahuatl word for the space between an old way of living that no longer works and a new one that hasn’t taken shape yet. By the end, the aim is for you to move from being a Seeker to being a Navigator: someone who can find their way through this kind of change with more skill and steadiness.

You are not being trained to teach this to other people, interpret their lives for them, or decide what anyone else is going through. This Formation is for you. What you build here is yours to keep, and yours to be responsible for.

Reflection

Set an intention for this Formation. What do you want to get better at — not more certain about?

Nothing has been written yet. Your reflection is recorded only when you choose.
